CompTIA’s Linux+ certification is an entry-level certification for individuals working in or seeking a career in network support. The Linux+ certification is an excellent starting point for individuals wishing to pursue higher-level certifications such as the LPI, SAIR or RHCE.
The Linux+ certification validates technical competency and provides a broad awareness of Linux operating systems. Those holding Linux+ certification demonstrate critical knowledge of installation, operation, administration and troubleshooting services.
CompTIA recommend that Linux+ candidates should have at least six months experience installing, operating and maintaining Linux operating systems, although this isn’t a prerequisite to taking this exam.
As with all CompTIA certifications, once a candidate has achieved the Linux+ certification, the certification will not expire. Exam Requirements: To achieve the Network+ certification, candidates are required to pass the following exam:
