The Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA XP) certification is an entry-level certification for IT professionals “who have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows, or Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server for Unix Operating Systems”. The CCA certification is the starting point for other Citrix technical certifications. Certification Requirements: To achieve the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA XP) certification, a candidate must pass one exam out of a choice of two exams and take one of two eLearning online courses as well as pass the related assessment.
On December 1, 2003, Citrix Education announced an updated CCA certification program. Although the updated requirements do not go into effect until May 1, 2004, certification candidates are encouraged to pursue the updated requirements to maximize the life of their certifications.
The following are the updated requirements for attaining the CCA certification:
1. Pass one of the following exams.
222 Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Feature Release 3: Administration.
310 Citrix MetaFrame 1.0 for UNIX
2. Take one of the following eLearning courses and pass the assessment given at the conclusion of the course.
